Extended Community
Strong connections with organisations in France, Greece and the Greek islands enable us to get aid to where it’s needed most. We regularly send aid to Calais as well as several of our volunteers spending time with charities in the area. We also send aid in bulk twice a year to Greece and the islands, this will hopefully increase over the next few years.
Care4Calais is a volunteer run charity delivering essential aid and support to refugees living in the worst conditions across Northern France and Belgium.
Since HHfR started we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from individuals and groups within the community, particularly the wonderful organisations that have offered to act as drop off points for the donations we receive.

Our Values
At HHfR, we have witnessed the power of the collective and we are able to help purely down to the goodwill and generosity of the people of Hull and the surrounding areas. Although the scale and sheer enormity of the crisis can often be overwhelming, we firmly believe that every human being deserves dignity, empathy, compassion and respect. We also believe that when individuals work together, no matter how small the gesture, we can make a difference.
Change a Life Today
There are many ways in which you can help out, from donating clothing, and housewares to volunteering with us or holding fundraiser events. Every gesture, no matter how small, can really change someone’s life for the better.
